Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Assistant Fitness Club Manager to support the operations of our fitness club. This role involves assisting in the management of daily activities, ensuring a high-quality experience for our members, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the club.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Fitness Club Manager in overseeing all aspects of club operations, including staffing, member services, and facility management
- Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment for all members
- Conduct regular assessments of member satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback
- Assist in managing the club’s budget and financial performance, including monitoring expenses and revenues
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and foster a positive team environment
- Coordinate and promote fitness programs, classes, and special events to enhance member engagement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a fitness management or supervisory role
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with members and staff
- Proficient in using fitness management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of fitness industry trends and best practices
Preferred:
- Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction
- Experience in sales or marketing within the fitness industry
- First Aid and CPR certifications
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fitness management software (e.g., MindBody, ClubReady)
- Familiarity with various fitness equipment and health monitoring technologies
