Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Mentor and guide junior psychologists and researchers in applying psychological theories to engineering challenges

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Psychology, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience applying psychological principles in an engineering or technology context
- Proven track record of leading complex user research projects and translating findings into actionable insights
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability testing
Preferred:
- Experience working within agile development environments and collaborating with software engineers
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies
- Publications or presentations in relevant psychological or human factors conferences
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in user experience research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for behavioral data interpretation
- Knowledge of design thinking principles and user interface/user experience (UI/UX) best practices
