Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Photogrammetric Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in photogrammetry and geospatial analysis to lead complex projects, develop cutting-edge methodologies, and contribute to our mission of transforming spatial data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence and mentoring junior engineers in the field of photogrammetry.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced photogrammetric solutions, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in data processing
- Oversee the execution of large-scale photogrammetric projects, from project inception to delivery, while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate photogrammetric data with GIS, CAD, and remote sensing technologies
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
- Develop and implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance photogrammetric workflows and data quality
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in photogrammetry and geospatial technologies to inform project strategies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in photogrammetry, geospatial analysis, or a related domain, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Strong understanding of photogrammetric principles, techniques, and software (e.g., Agisoft Metashape, Pix4D, or similar)
- Experience with geospatial data integration and analysis using tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex datasets
Preferred:
- PhD in a relevant field
- Experience with drone-based photogrammetry and aerial imagery
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in photogrammetric software and methodologies
- Proficient in GIS technology and spatial data analysis
- Experience with data acquisition techniques, including aerial and satellite imagery
- Familiarity with machine learning applications in geospatial data analysis
