Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Energy Manager to lead our initiatives in optimizing energy consumption and sustainability practices across our operations. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in energy management to develop strategies that drive energy efficiency, reduce costs, and support our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement energy management strategies to optimize energy usage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across all facilities.
- Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Monitor energy consumption data and prepare detailed reports to track progress against benchmarks and goals.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of energy management initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technologies to recommend best practices for energy management.
- Engage and educate employees on energy conservation practices and sustainability efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in energy management or a similar role, with a proven track record of implementing successful energy efficiency programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with energy management software and tools for tracking and reporting energy consumption.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar credential.
- Experience with renewable energy technologies and sustainability certifications (LEED, ISO 50001).
- Knowledge of utility rate structures and energy procurement strategies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in energy modeling software and building management systems.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) for energy reporting and forecasting.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, lighting systems, and other energy-consuming technologies.
