Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Energy Audit Manager to lead our energy auditing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing energy usage patterns, identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, and implementing strategies that align with our sustainability goals. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver actionable insights that drive energy savings and reduce environmental impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive energy audit programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Conduct detailed assessments of building energy performance, including HVAC systems, lighting, and insulation
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for energy savings, preparing detailed reports that outline findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement energy efficiency projects, tracking progress and performance
- Educate clients on energy reduction strategies and promote best practices in energy management
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting energy audits and efficiency programs
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in energy auditing or energy management
- Strong understanding of energy systems, building codes, and energy efficiency standards
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and present insights in a clear, actionable manner
Preferred:
- Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar credential
- Experience with energy modeling software and tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQuest)
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems and sustainable building practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in energy auditing methodologies and practices
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau)
- Knowledge of building energy management systems (BEMS) and energy monitoring technologies
