Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Junior EMS Helicopter Pilot to join our emergency medical services team. In this role, you will be responsible for flying medical personnel and patients to critical care facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure all safety protocols are followed before each flight.
- Operate helicopters in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies, prioritizing patient safety at all times.
- Collaborate closely with medical personnel to understand patient needs and coordinate efficient transport.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in regular training and safety drills to enhance flying skills and emergency response capabilities.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the helicopter to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with rotorcraft rating.
- Minimum of 500 flight hours, with at least 100 hours in helicopters.
- Basic knowledge of emergency medical services and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EMS operations or air medical transport.
- Additional certifications such as Instrument Rating or Flight Instructor.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
