Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Laboratory Director specializing in Embryology to lead our state-of-the-art reproductive laboratory. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission to provide exceptional patient care through innovative reproductive technologies and scientific excellence. You will oversee laboratory operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement in embryological practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the embryology laboratory, including personnel management, workflow optimization, and resource allocation
- Develop and implement laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality outcomes in assisted reproductive technology (ART)
- Oversee the evaluation and selection of new technologies and methodologies to enhance laboratory performance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including CAP, CLIA, and AABB, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
- Foster a culture of scientific inquiry and continuous education among laboratory staff through training and mentorship
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to optimize patient care and laboratory integration
- Manage laboratory budgets and resources effectively to support operational goals
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Embryology, Reproductive Biology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in an embryology laboratory with a strong track record of leadership and laboratory management
- Familiarity with current ART practices, technologies, and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and compliance within a laboratory setting
Preferred:
- Experience with laboratory accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong publication record in reproductive science or related fields
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of embryological techniques including ICSI, IVF, cryopreservation, and embryo culture
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation related to reproductive outcomes

Location
