Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with special education staff and support personnel to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and strategies for support at home.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Elementary Education and Special Education.
- Experience working with diverse learners, including students with special needs.
- Strong understanding of inclusion practices and differentiated instruction.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience in co-teaching models and collaborative teaching environments.
- Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools and platforms to enhance learning.
- Ability to analyze student data to inform instruction and drive student achievement.
