Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Station Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our power generation facilities. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure the efficient and safe operation of electrical power systems, while driving performance improvements and adhering to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the electrical power station to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and guidance to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance programs, and performance metrics to optimize plant performance
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure financial and operational targets are met
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in power generation or electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, generator operations, and power plant regulations
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving operational excellence
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience with renewable energy systems and integration
- Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, control systems, and power management software
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and performance optimization tools
