Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Supervisor of Electric Powerline Examiners to lead our team in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our electric powerline systems. In this role, you will oversee the inspection processes, mentor your team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold our commitment to excellence in powerline operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Electric Powerline Examiners, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations
- Develop and implement effective inspection programs to assess the condition of powerlines and associated equipment
- Lead investigations into powerline incidents, analyzing data and conducting root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences
- Provide training and guidance to team members on inspection techniques, safety practices, and operational standards
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance system reliability and address maintenance needs
- Monitor team performance, establishing clear metrics for success and driving accountability
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical powerline systems or related fields, with a focus on inspection and maintenance
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of conducting detailed inspections and assessments
Preferred:
- Experience with powerline construction and maintenance practices
- Certification in electrical safety or powerline inspection methodologies
- Familiarity with advanced inspection technologies, such as drones or infrared thermography
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools and software for assessing powerline integrity
- Understanding of electrical systems, components, and operational protocols
- Experience with data analysis tools to assess inspection results and generate reports
