Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Drywall Finishing Supervisor to oversee our finishing teams in delivering high-quality drywall installations. This role is key in ensuring that our projects meet both aesthetic and structural standards, while adhering to safety protocols and timelines. As a leader, you will mentor and coach your team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of drywall finishing teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications and deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met and safety regulations are followed.
- Train and mentor team members in drywall finishing techniques, including taping, mudding, and sanding, to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to determine project timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Implement and enforce safety measures to create a safe working environment for all team members and report any incidents or hazards promptly.
- Review and approve project plans, material orders, and change orders as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including labor hours, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in drywall finishing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of drywall finishing techniques, materials, and tools.
- Proven ability to manage teams, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial and residential construction projects.
- Certifications in drywall finishing or relevant construction management.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
