Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Drywall Supervisor to oversee our drywall installation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of drywall installers, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety protocols, and timely project completion. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating tasks and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of drywall installers on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and manage workflow to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades to facilitate smooth project execution and address any issues that arise.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, material orders, and safety checklists.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in drywall installation and supervision within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing drywall projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of drywall materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Preferred:
- Certification in drywall installation or related field.
- Experience working with commercial construction projects.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Ability to use construction management software to track project progress and manage resources.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations in construction.
