Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Dental Officer (CDO) to lead our dental operations and enhance patient care across all clinics. The CDO will be responsible for setting the clinical agenda, ensuring compliance with dental regulations, and driving innovation in dental practices to align with our mission of providing exceptional dental care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical strategies that enhance quality of care and patient outcomes across all dental practices.
- Oversee the formulation of policies and procedures related to dental operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead a team of dental professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics, utilizing data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Represent the organization at industry events and with regulatory bodies, advocating for advancements in dental practices and patient care.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- 10+ years of clinical experience in dentistry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of dental regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven track record of driving clinical excellence and improving patient outcomes.
Preferred:
- Advanced certifications in dental specialties.
- Experience in a multi-site dental organization or large group practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives and drive innovation in dental operations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in electronic health records (EHR) systems and patient management software.
- Knowledge of dental billing systems and insurance processes.
- Familiarity with tele-dentistry technologies and their integration into practice.
