Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Regional Dairy Manager to oversee operations across multiple dairy facilities within the region. In this role, you will ensure compliance with industry regulations, optimize production processes, and drive revenue growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity across all dairy facilities in the region.
- Monitor and improve milk production and processing operations to achieve quality and yield targets.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding food safety and dairy production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and supply chain to align regional objectives with overall company goals.
- Manage budgets and financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and profit enhancement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of dairy professionals to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including farmers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess operations and implement best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in dairy management or operations within the agricultural sector.
- Strong understanding of dairy production processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with implementing technology solutions in dairy operations.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and marketing strategies in the dairy industry.
