Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bakery Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our bakery operations from a fully remote environment. This strategic role will involve managing production processes, ensuring quality control, and implementing efficient operational strategies to enhance productivity and profitability across our bakery facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of bakery production schedules to meet demand and quality standards
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Monitor and analyze production metrics, providing actionable insights and reporting to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality assurance protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, marketing, and sales to align operational goals with business objectives
- Train, mentor, and develop bakery staff to foster a high-performance culture
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in bakery operations or food production management
- Strong understanding of bakery processes, equipment, and best practices
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving operational improvements
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Management, or a related field
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA guidelines)
- Experience with inventory management systems and production scheduling tools
- Proficiency in data analysis tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
