Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Contracting Manager to support our contracting process and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. You will play a vital role in assisting with the management of contracts, negotiations, and vendor relations, helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our procurement operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards
- Conduct thorough reviews of contract terms, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation and information for contract development and execution
- Maintain accurate records of contracts and amendments, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with contractual obligations
- Support vendor management initiatives by monitoring performance, addressing issues, and fostering positive relationships
- Develop and implement standardized contract templates and policies to streamline the contracting process
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations to inform contracting strategies and practices
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field
- Strong understanding of contract law and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiations
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in contract management systems and tools
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess contract performance
- Experience with e-procurement platforms is a plus
