Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled IT Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our systems and services, enabling our organization to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health of IT systems, ensuring maximum uptime and performance
- Implement and manage IT processes, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across both hardware and software environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable IT solutions
- Perform regular system audits, security assessments, and compliance checks to safeguard our infrastructure
- Document IT processes and create training materials for end-users to improve system usage
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to minimize service disruptions
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
- Familiarity with network protocols and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, DataDog, Grafana) for system health tracking
- Prior experience in a fully remote work environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
