Role Overview
We are seeking a Coating Inspection Supervisor to oversee and enhance our coating inspection processes. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all coating applications meet stringent quality standards and specifications, while leading a team of inspectors to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of coating inspectors, providing guidance on best practices and technical standards.
- Establish and implement inspection protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of coating applications, documenting findings and ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to review specifications and ensure adherence to quality control measures.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports for management, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Facilitate training for new inspectors on inspection techniques and equipment usage.
- Maintain equipment and ensure that all inspection tools are calibrated and functioning properly.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in coating inspection or a related field, with a strong understanding of coating processes and materials.
- Certification in coating inspection (e.g., NACE, SSPC, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience in the oil and gas, marine, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with various coating types and their applications.
- Proficiency in inspection software and data management systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in coating inspection techniques and standards.
- Knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods.
- Experience with digital inspection tools and software.
- Understanding of safety regulations and quality assurance protocols.
