Role Overview
We are looking for an accomplished Assembly Supervisor to lead our assembly team in ensuring that all production goals are met while adhering to quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage workflow, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within remote teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily assembly operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
- Develop and implement efficient assembly processes to maximize productivity while minimizing waste.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate assembly team members, promoting skill development and career advancement opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze production metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes and production methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a remote setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and make informed decisions.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools, such as ERP systems.
