Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Supervisor of Truck Transmission Assembly to lead our remote assembly teams. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly processes, ensuring quality control, and optimizing production workflows. Your leadership will be crucial in driving our mission to deliver high-performance transmission systems for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a remote team of assembly technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement assembly processes and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor assembly line performance metrics and initiate corrective actions as necessary to meet production goals.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve product designs.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Create and maintain documentation for assembly processes and quality control measures.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Deep understanding of truck transmission systems and assembly processes.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing production schedules.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and implement process improvements.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using assembly tools and machinery pertinent to truck transmission assembly.
- Experience with manufacturing software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and quality control techniques.
