Role Overview
We are looking for a visionary and compassionate Director of Chaplaincy to lead and expand our chaplaincy services across diverse contexts. This fully remote role will enable you to develop and implement strategic initiatives that support spiritual care, counseling, and community engagement, ensuring that our mission resonates deeply within the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive chaplaincy strategy aligned with our organizational mission and values.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to a team of chaplains, fostering a culture of professional growth and spiritual development.
- Establish partnerships with community organizations, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions to enhance our outreach and impact.
- Oversee the implementation of programs and services that address the spiritual and emotional needs of diverse populations.
- Lead the development of training programs for chaplains and volunteers, ensuring high standards of care and ethical practice.
- Conduct regular assessments to measure the effectiveness of chaplaincy initiatives and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, or a related field, with formal training in clinical pastoral education (CPE).
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within chaplaincy or spiritual care settings.
- Strong understanding of diverse spiritual practices and cultural sensitivities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex initiatives in a remote work environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative spiritual care programs.
- Familiarity with healthcare chaplaincy or community service organizations.
- Previous experience working with interfaith communities and promoting inclusivity.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in virtual communication tools and platforms to facilitate team collaboration and community engagement.
- Experience with data management systems for tracking program outcomes and community needs.
- Ability to utilize social media and digital resources to promote chaplaincy services and outreach initiatives.
