Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Rehabilitation Counseling to lead our team of dedicated professionals in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services. This role is crucial for establishing strategic direction, enhancing program effectiveness, and fostering a culture of excellence in service delivery for individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for rehabilitation counseling services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of rehabilitation counselors and support staff, fostering professional development and promoting best practices in service delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess client needs, develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans, and evaluate program outcomes.
- Advocate for client needs and facilitate access to resources and services, including vocational training, job placement, and community support.
- Monitor program performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, employers, and stakeholders to promote workforce integration and expand service reach.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in rehabilitation counseling, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation practices, disability rights, and relevant legislation.
- Proven track record of developing and managing effective rehabilitation programs.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or equivalent.
- Experience with telehealth services and remote counseling methodologies.
- Familiarity with outcome measurement tools and techniques.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in case management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience using data analytics to drive program improvements and client outcomes.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and its application in rehabilitation services.
