Role Overview
We are seeking a Career Counseling Manager who will be instrumental in shaping the career development strategies of our clients. In this role, you will lead a team of career counselors, providing guidance and support to individuals in navigating their career paths, enhancing their employability, and achieving their professional goals. You'll leverage your expertise in career development to design and implement programs that empower clients to succeed in a dynamic job market.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of career counselors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Develop and implement innovative career counseling programs tailored to diverse client needs
- Conduct assessments to identify client strengths, interests, and career goals, and provide tailored advice and resources
- Collaborate with external partners to create networking opportunities and job placement strategies
- Analyze labor market trends to inform program development and ensure alignment with industry demands
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and make data-driven improvements
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in career counseling or coaching, with a proven track record of client success
- Strong knowledge of career development theories and practices
- Experience in program development and team leadership
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized career counseling organization (e.g., GCDF, NCCC)
- Experience working in educational institutions or workforce development agencies
- Familiarity with assessment tools and techniques used in career counseling
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in career assessment tools and software
- Experience utilizing data analytics to track program outcomes and client success
- Familiarity with virtual counseling platforms and online career resources

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations
