Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Procurement to lead our strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across the organization. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with our business goals, ensuring optimal supplier performance, and driving cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the organization's overall objectives and growth plans
- Lead the procurement team in establishing strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring effective contract negotiations and management
- Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, and performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement programs within the procurement function
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and product development, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities
- Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation and strategic sourcing
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the procurement process
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives that result in significant cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making
Preferred:
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Advanced degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or CIPS
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools
- Understanding of e-sourcing platforms and contract management systems
