Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, managing teams on-site, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and resolve any issues that arise.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to timelines.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and budget tracking.
- Manage and mentor construction teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Preferred:
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with green building practices and sustainability initiatives.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
- Solid understanding of scheduling tools and techniques (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Experience with cost estimation and budgeting processes.
