Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Boiler Room Supervisor to oversee the operations of our boiler room and ensure compliance with safety regulations, efficiency standards, and overall operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of operators and technicians, implementing best practices in boiler operations and maintenance to support our production goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily boiler room operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime
- Monitor operational performance, analyze data, and adjust processes to optimize efficiency and fuel consumption
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of boiler systems to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
- Train and mentor team members on boiler operations, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support capital projects and system upgrades
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in boiler operations, maintenance, or supervision in an industrial setting
- Valid boiler operator license or certification as required by local regulations
- In-depth knowledge of boiler systems, thermodynamics, and energy efficiency practices
- Strong analytical skills and experience with monitoring and control systems
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational improvements
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in operating and maintaining various types of boilers and associated equipment
- Experience with SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling boiler operations
- Understanding of water treatment processes and chemical dosing systems
