Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Body and Frame Shop Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional automotive repair services. This role will be instrumental in overseeing shop operations, ensuring quality control, and fostering a culture of excellence within our body shop. You will collaborate with technicians, estimate specialists, and customer service teams to enhance operational efficiency and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the body and frame shop, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Oversee and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance on repair techniques and best practices.
- Develop and implement shop workflows and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters and customers to provide accurate estimates and timely repairs.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary parts and materials.
- Utilize metrics and KPIs to assess shop performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a high level of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive repair, with a focus on body and frame work.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within an automotive body shop.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive repair techniques, including frame straightening and welding.
- Strong understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Preferred:
- ASE certification in Collision Repair and Refinish.
- Experience with estimating software and management systems.
- Proficient in modern repair technologies and techniques, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in collision repair methods and technologies.
- Familiarity with equipment such as frame machines, paint booths, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
