Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior BMET (Biomedical Equipment Technician) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment, ensuring that healthcare facilities can provide the best possible care to their patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and repair of a wide range of biomedical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Support senior technicians in troubleshooting complex medical device issues and resolving them efficiently.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair history.
- Participate in the installation and setup of new medical equipment, providing training to clinical staff as needed.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies and advancements in biomedical equipment to continuously improve service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with medical equipment maintenance or repair through internships or academic projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA and ISO 13485.
- Certifications such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) are a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to biomedical technology.
- Understanding of medical device networking and integration.
- Familiarity with software used for equipment management and tracking.
