Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Banquet Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our banquet services. In this key role, you will ensure seamless execution of events by managing logistics, staff, and client relationships, while upholding the exceptional standards that define our brand.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of all banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement event concepts, including menu selections, room setups, and service details
- Supervise and train banquet staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with culinary teams to ensure timely preparation and service of food and beverages
- Manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial targets are met
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations to enhance future events and operational efficiency
- Maintain a safe and compliant environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in banquet operations or related field, with a proven track record of successful event management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related discipline
- Experience in high-volume banquet settings, such as hotels or event venues
- Familiarity with event management software and tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance procedures
