Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Catering and Events to lead our comprehensive catering and events operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative event concepts, managing client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across all events. Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of catering and events operations, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Develop and manage relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination between all departments and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain high standards for presentation, service, and overall guest experience.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to innovate and enhance our catering and events services.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for catering and events, ensuring profitability.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in catering and event management, with a proven track record of successful large-scale events.
- Strong business acumen and experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership role within a high-volume catering or events environment.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and techniques to promote catering and events services.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in event planning software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) and catering management systems.
