Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny to join our family. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in providing a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for our children, balancing your time between our home and local activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children in your care at all times
- Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for children
- Create and implement engaging educational and recreational activities
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a love for learning
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including children's play areas and bedrooms
- Communicate effectively with parents about children's progress and daily activities
- Transport children to and from school and extracurricular activities as needed
- Provide emotional support and guidance, promoting positive behavior and social skills
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a nanny or in a similar childcare role
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively
Preferred:
- Relevant childcare certifications or training
- Experience with special needs children
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with educational apps and resources for children
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition
- Ability to use household management tools (e.g., calendars, meal planning apps)
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Empathetic and patient demeanor when dealing with children
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in various situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents and other caregivers
- Positive attitude and a genuine love for working with children
