Role Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Assistant Professor of Astrophysics to join our esteemed faculty. Responsibilities

- Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate-level courses in astrophysics and related fields
- Supervise and mentor graduate students and research assistants in their academic and research pursuits
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on funded research projects and grant applications
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to academic governance
- Engage in outreach activities to promote interest in astrophysics and science education
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Astrophysics or a closely related field
- Demonstrated research expertise in astrophysics, with a strong publication record
- Experience teaching at the university level, with a commitment to student engagement and success
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred:
- Postdoctoral experience in a relevant area of astrophysics
