Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Ash Conveyor Operator to oversee the operation and maintenance of ash handling systems within our facility. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of ash materials, while adhering to environmental regulations and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the ash conveyor operations team to ensure smooth and efficient material handling.
- Conduct regular inspections of conveyor systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and operational procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and components.
- Monitor conveyor system performance metrics and report on operational efficiency and productivity.
- Train and mentor junior operators on best practices in ash handling and equipment operation.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in conveyor operations or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience operating and maintaining ash handling systems or similar industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in material handling.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced conveyor technologies and automated systems.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance standards related to ash disposal and handling.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting conveyor systems, including pneumatic and mechanical components.
- Experience with monitoring systems and data logging for operational metrics.
- Knowledge of maintenance management software for tracking equipment performance and scheduling.
