Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Assistant Professor of Architecture to join our dynamic faculty. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of future architects through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, all while working in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Design and deliver engaging courses in architecture that incorporate contemporary design practices and technologies.

- Collaborate with faculty to enhance the architecture curriculum and integrate interdisciplinary approaches.
Research and Scholarship:
- Conduct research in architectural theory, design, or technology, contributing to academic publications and conferences.
- Engage in scholarly activities that promote the advancement of architectural education and practice.
- Develop innovative projects that challenge conventional architectural paradigms and explore sustainable design practices.
Service and Community Engagement:
- Participate in departmental and university committees to enhance academic programs and student experiences.
- Build relationships with architectural professionals and organizations to foster community engagement and collaboration.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the architecture program and the broader academic community.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Architecture or a closely related field, or substantial professional experience in architecture.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in architectural design, theory, and research.
- Experience in teaching at the university level, with a commitment to student-centered learning.
Preferred:
- Record of research publications in reputable journals or conferences.
- Experience with digital design tools and technologies, including BIM and parametric design software.
- Active involvement in professional architectural organizations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of sustainable design principles and building performance analysis tools.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in architecture, including VR/AR and computational design.
