Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Appeals Referee to oversee the appeals process within our organization. In this pivotal role, you will ensure fair and just resolutions for all appeals, maintaining the integrity of our processes while providing leadership and guidance to your team. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the appeals process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies

- Provide mentorship and training to junior referees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the appeals process and address systemic issues
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of appeal decisions and related processes
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including appellants, to explain decisions and provide guidance
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a regulatory or compliance role, with a focus on appeals and dispute resolution
- Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing the appeals process
- Proven track record of making fair, unbiased decisions in complex situations
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role, managing teams and overseeing processes
- Advanced degree in law, public policy, or a related field
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices
