Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Appeals Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in reviewing and analyzing appeals related to various claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and policies. You will work closely with senior examiners to develop your expertise in appeals processing and contribute to the efficient resolution of cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the review and analysis of appeal cases, ensuring all relevant information is considered and documented
- Collaborate with senior examiners to assess compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Contribute to the preparation of reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Engage with claimants and stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify details as needed
- Support the implementation of best practices in appeals processing and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Preferred:
- Experience in claims processing or a similar role within the insurance or legal sectors
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and appeals procedures
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with case management systems or database software
