Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Claim Examiner to join our dynamic claims team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing insurance claims in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the claims evaluation process.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze insurance claims submitted by policyholders to determine validity and coverage based on policy terms.
- Conduct thorough investigations into claims, including gathering relevant documentation and liaising with claimants and stakeholders.
- Assess damage reports and medical records to accurately evaluate claims for payment.
- Utilize claims management systems to document findings and maintain accurate records of claims processing activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and other parties involved in the claims process to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
- Collaborate with senior claim examiners to identify areas for process improvement and contribute to streamlined workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in claims processing or a related field.
- Understanding of insurance policies, coverage types, and claims processes.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate claim evaluations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or completion of insurance-related coursework.
- Familiarity with claims management software and systems.
- Experience working in a remote environment and managing time effectively.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and claims management software.
- Ability to quickly learn new software tools and technology solutions related to claims processing.
