Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Casting Supervisor to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will oversee the casting process for various projects, ensuring that we attract and select the best talent for our productions. You will collaborate closely with directors, producers, and talent agencies to develop casting strategies that align with the creative vision of the projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the casting process from concept to execution, including audition scheduling, talent selection, and contract negotiation
- Work closely with producers and directors to understand the character requirements and project goals
- Evaluate audition tapes and coordinate in-person auditions, providing constructive feedback to actors
- Build and maintain relationships with talent agents, casting directors, and artists
- Develop and implement innovative casting strategies to ensure diversity and inclusion
- Manage casting budgets and timelines effectively, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging talent to enhance the casting pool
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in casting or a related field within the entertainment industry
- Proven track record of successful casting for film, television, or theater productions
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage contracts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Experience with a variety of genres and formats, including scripted, unscripted, and live performances
- Established network of industry contacts, including agents, talent, and production companies
- Familiarity with casting software and tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using casting software and tools for scheduling and managing auditions
- Understanding of the legal and contractual aspects of casting
- Ability to analyze and interpret scripts to inform casting decisions
