Role Overview
We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and skilled Agronomy Manager to lead our agronomic initiatives and drive innovation in sustainable agricultural practices. This role is essential in developing and implementing agronomic strategies that enhance crop yield and sustainability while aligning with our mission to push the boundaries of modern agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of agronomic research and field trials to evaluate new crop varieties and agronomic practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate agronomic insights into product development and market strategies.
- Utilize data analytics and precision agriculture technologies to optimize crop management and productivity.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop health, assess soil conditions, and provide actionable recommendations to farmers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, agronomists, and industry experts, to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior agronomists and field staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in agronomy or crop management, with a proven track record of successful project management.
- Strong understanding of soil science, crop physiology, and integrated pest management.
- Experience with data collection and analysis tools relevant to agronomic research.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Agronomy or a related field.
- Experience with sustainable agriculture practices and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with advanced technologies such as GIS, remote sensing, and precision agriculture tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in agronomic modeling and statistical analysis software.
- Experience with laboratory techniques for soil and plant analysis.
- Knowledge of crop simulation models and agronomic decision-support systems.
