Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished academic leader for the position of Endowed Chair in Agricultural Soil Conservation. This role is integral to advancing research, education, and outreach initiatives in sustainable agricultural practices, with a focus on soil health and conservation. The successful candidate will leverage interdisciplinary approaches and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance soil management practices that promote environmental stewardship and agricultural productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative research initiatives focused on soil conservation, management, and restoration within agricultural systems.
- Develop and implement educational programs that disseminate research findings and best practices to farmers, policymakers, and the broader community.
- Foster collaborations with local and national agricultural organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions to drive impactful soil conservation efforts.
- Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
- Mentor graduate students and early-career researchers, cultivating the next generation of soil scientists and conservation practitioners.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant academic or research experience with a strong record of publications and funding.
- Demonstrated expertise in soil conservation techniques and sustainable agricultural practices.
Preferred:
