Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Dean of Academic Programs to lead our institution's academic initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic curricula, fostering an environment of academic excellence and student success.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership in the development and enhancement of academic programs across various disciplines.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of academic programs with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality of academic offerings and student learning experiences.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of academic programs to ensure relevance, rigor, and quality.
- Lead faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation processes to build a diverse and effective academic team.
- Foster a culture of research, innovation, and continuous improvement within academic programs.
- Engage with the broader educational community to identify trends and opportunities for program development.
- Manage budgetary resources for academic programs and ensure effective allocation of funds.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in higher education administration, with a focus on academic program development.
- Demonstrated track record of successful program management and curriculum development.
- Strong understanding of accreditation processes and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in a Dean or equivalent leadership role.
- Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across diverse constituencies.
- Experience with online and hybrid program development.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation techniques to inform program decisions.
