Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Director of Maintenance (Aviation) to lead our maintenance operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency across our fleet. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for all maintenance activities, including aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
- Establish key performance metrics to measure maintenance effectiveness, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to enhance aircraft reliability and availability.
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance managers and technicians, promoting professional development and a culture of safety and accountability.
- Engage with regulatory agencies and represent the company during audits and inspections.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with fleet management and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
