Overnight Stocker Cover Letter Examples

To whom it may concern,

I am excited to apply for the Overnight Stocker position at your store. With several years of retail experience in fast-paced environments across Spain, I am enthusiastic about contributing to a team that values efficiency, accuracy, and excellent in-store presentation. I am particularly drawn to roles that support strong customer experience and operational reliability overnight so daytime staff and customers benefit from a well-stocked, safe store.

In my most recent role at Mercadona, I was responsible for overnight replenishment, inventory rotation, and front-of-house merchandising across multiple departments. I consistently met productivity targets, routinely restocking 120+ shelving units per shift while maintaining planogram fidelity and FIFO procedures. At Carrefour I helped reduce product discrepancies by 18% through diligent cycle counts and improved labelling practices. I am comfortable operating pallet jacks and forklifts, using handheld scanners, and following health & safety protocols — including HACCP and COSHH where applicable — to maintain compliance and minimize waste.

I value the role overnight teams play in creating a positive customer experience and efficient store operations. I admire how companies such as El Corte Inglés and Lidl prioritise stock accuracy and presentation to drive customer satisfaction; I share that commitment and bring a proactive attitude to resolving stock issues, optimizing shelf availability, and supporting loss-prevention measures. By working nights, I can help ensure morning shifts begin with a clean, fully stocked store that reflects well on the brand and improves sales conversion.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my overnight replenishment experience, attention to detail, and commitment to safety can benefit your team. Thank you for considering my application. I am available for an interview at your convenience and look forward to the possibility of contributing to your store's success.

Sincerely,
María Gómez
