Logistics Associate Cover Letter Examples

Dear Mr. García,

I am excited to apply for the Logistics Associate position at your company. With a strong background in warehouse operations, inventory management, and last-mile distribution gained in Spain and working with international carriers, I am enthusiastic about contributing to a team that values efficiency, accuracy, and customer-focused delivery. I am particularly drawn to your company’s commitment to timely, sustainable logistics solutions and continuous operational improvement.

In my previous role at SEUR, I managed day-to-day warehouse receiving, put-away, and order-picking processes for a high-volume regional hub handling over 10,000 parcels weekly. By implementing a revised picking route and cross-docking procedure, I helped reduce average order processing time by 18% and lowered daily labor overtime by 12%. I have hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP EWM and Manhattan, and I am comfortable using RF scanners, barcode systems, and Excel-based reporting to maintain inventory accuracy above 99%. At a subsequent contract with DHL, I coordinated inbound shipments with carriers including Maersk and DB Schenker, improving on-time receiving rate from 92% to 97% through tighter carrier communication and proactive exception handling.

I am motivated by the role logistics plays in connecting businesses and customers across Spain and Europe. Your focus on sustainable delivery practices and leveraging technology to optimize routes aligns with my professional goals to reduce waste, improve service levels, and streamline end-to-end supply chains. I bring practical knowledge of Spanish logistics regulations, customs basics for EU cross-border shipments, and a safety-first mindset that helps maintain compliance and minimize workplace incidents.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience managing fast-paced warehouse operations, improving process efficiency, and coordinating multimodal carriers can support your targets for on-time delivery and inventory accuracy. Thank you for considering my application; I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team and helping drive operational excellence.

Sincerely,
Alejandro Martínez
