Logistician Cover Letter Examples

Dear Ms. García,

I am excited to apply for the Logistician position at DHL Mexico. With over six years of hands-on experience managing domestic and international supply chains across Mexico and Latin America, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to DHL's mission of delivering excellence in logistics while driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In my current role as Logistics Coordinator at Grupo Distribuidor del Norte, I oversee end-to-end freight operations, warehouse management, and customs clearance. I led a project to optimize inbound scheduling and warehouse slotting that reduced average order-to-ship time by 22% and lowered picking errors by 18%. I have implemented TMS/WMS integrations using Oracle Transportation Management and SAP EWM, automated KPI dashboards in Power BI that improved on-time delivery visibility from 78% to 92%, and negotiated carrier contracts that cut transportation costs by 12% while maintaining service levels. I am also Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified and have applied Kaizen events to streamline cross-docking and returns processes.

DHL's focus on innovation, sustainability, and reliable global connectivity strongly aligns with my professional goals. I am particularly drawn to DHL's investments in digitalization and greener logistics solutions; in my last role I piloted fuel-efficient routing and consolidated shipments that reduced CO2 emissions per shipment by 9%. My experience with Mexican customs procedures (SAT), the IMMEX program, and cross-border trucking between Mexico and the United States positions me to navigate regulatory complexity while improving lead times and compliance for DHL's customers.

I am eager to bring my combination of operational expertise, systems experience, and continuous-improvement mindset to DHL Mexico's logistics team. I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my background can support your goals for cost-efficient, customer-centric, and sustainable supply chain solutions. Thank you for considering my application—I look forward to the possibility of speaking with you.

Sincerely,
Ana Martínez
