Cisco Engineer Cover Letter Examples

Madame, Monsieur,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Cisco Engineer position at Orange. As a network engineer based in France with a deep specialization in Cisco technologies and a genuine commitment to delivering resilient, secure networks that support digital services for millions of users, I am excited by Orange's mission to enable connectivity and digital inclusion across Europe and Africa.

Over the past six years I have built and operated large-scale enterprise and service provider networks, holding CCNP and currently preparing for CCIE-level lab work. At SecurNet Solutions I led a backbone refresh project migrating routers and switches to Cisco IOS-XE and Nexus platforms; this reduced average link latency by 18% and improved end-to-end service availability from 99.85% to 99.97%. I designed and implemented BGP/OSPF/MPLS architectures for multi-site connectivity and successfully deployed SD-WAN (Cisco vEdge/Inform) to replace legacy VPNs, cutting WAN costs by 22% while improving application performance for critical SaaS platforms. I also automated repetitive operational tasks using Python and Ansible, reducing configuration drift and lowering mean time to recovery (MTTR) by 30%.

Orange's focus on reliable, scalable connectivity and digital services resonates strongly with my professional goals. I am particularly aligned with your initiatives around network automation, cloud interconnect, and edge services: my hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Catalyst/Nexus campus and data center fabrics, and hybrid cloud routing patterns would allow me to contribute immediately to projects that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Beyond technical delivery, I bring a collaborative approach that has helped cross-functional teams (platform, security, and DevOps) accelerate feature rollout while maintaining compliance and performance SLAs.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my background in Cisco routing/switching, SD-WAN, MPLS, and automation can support Orange's network transformation goals. Thank you for considering my application; I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team and helping deliver robust connectivity solutions to your customers.

Sincères salutations,

Sophie Dubois
