About the role:

Zone is hiring a Communications Specialist as part of the Global Communications team. You'll play a pivotal role in elevating the Zone brand visibility, growing our thought leadership presence and expanding our reach across key regions (NOAM, EMEA, APAC).

You will help craft and distribute compelling brand messages, build relationships with key stakeholders and drive positive perceptions of our company & products through a variety of internal and external communications and advocacy programs.

The ideal candidate is a keen storyteller, who thrives in a dynamic role and fast-paced environment. You have demonstrated experience building strong relationships with media, sourcing, recommending and submitting for speaking engagements and award opportunities, and developing and pitching stories that advance business objectives and grow brand awareness. Let’s talk about responsibilities:

• External communication:
• Support timely and accurate dissemination of company & product announcements to key stakeholders such as partners, customers, and media outlets through a variety of communication channels (Email, social media, website, newswires).
• Help shape and maintain our editorial calendar to ensure a continuous drumbeat of on-brand content that elevates our brand and increases thought leadership.
• Proactively pitch compelling stories to target media outlets/journalists to generate positive coverage and visibility for the company, our products and executives.
• Coordinate relationships with key media contacts. analysts & influencers in the tech / finance space.
• Market research & content development:
• Research, develop, and edit high-quality materials for external and internal communications, including press releases, media pitches, social media posts, blog posts, research reports, executive speeches/presentations, and more.
• Organize and maintain (internal) resources including press and partner press kits, media assets, clips, etc.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for proactive communication in line with our brand positioning and objectives
• Awards programs: Identify and secure opportunities for participation in industry awards and recognition programs through compelling submissions.
• Executive communication: Support executive communication programs, including identifying guest writing & speaking opportunities to grow thought leadership and connect with our target audiences.
• Internal communication: Help develop and rollout internal communication plans and assets to keep employees informed and engaged around key strategic initiatives/company events, including Mergers and Acquisitions.
• Analytics and reporting: support efforts to track and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives and prepare regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and optimize strategies.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Liaise with other departments (i.e. Sales, Product, Content, Customer Success) and subject matter experts across the organization to conduct research and obtain information and resources for communications initiatives.

Requirements

Let’s talk about what you need to excel:

• 3-5 years experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related field, in-house or at an agency.
• Experience within a fast-paced, B2B environment in tech/finance is a plus.
• A creative and strategic mindset, with a passion for driving brand awareness and perception across a variety of stakeholders.
• Highly organized self-starter, but not afraid to ask for guidance and input when needed.
• Exceptional writer and communicator, skilled at crafting strong narratives.
• A great connector with the ability to understand how your work supports and connects to the work of other teams and overall business objectives.
• Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with media, vetting, recommending and submitting for speaking engagements and award opportunities, and developing and pitching stories that advance business objectives and grow brand awareness, is a bonus.
