Zapier is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and scale the systems that enable AI automation. The role involves designing, implementing, and evolving core APIs, building systems for scalable orchestration, and collaborating on architecture for MPC primitives.

Requirements

6+ years of experience designing, developing and maintaining complex production systems
Comfortable writing backend services (Python or Node.js ideal)
Understanding and leveraging AI tooling
Experience with platform thinking and building platform products
Leadership skills and ability to take initiative
Ability to work with ambiguity and turn loosely defined problems into concrete action
