The Role: Product-Focused Software Engineer

This isn't a typical feature-building role. Instead, you will be the champion of our existing product, dedicated to making it better, stronger, and more resilient. You will take on the critical responsibility of improving and modernizing our codebase, resolving customer-facing issues, and ensuring the overall integrity of the platform. You will find satisfaction in diagnosing complex problems and leaving the codebase better than you found it. Moreover, you will feel accomplished by helping real people with problems, and be happy to be on communication threads to learn from and better help our users.

What You'll Do:

• Guard and Improve Product Quality: Become the expert on our existing application, proactively identifying areas for improvement and addressing issues that impact performance, stability, and the user experience.
• Solve Complex Puzzles: Dive into our full stack (Django/Vue) to investigate, triage, and resolve a wide range of bugs and customer-facing issues, from small UI glitches to deeper backend complexities.
• Modernize Our Codebase: Take ownership of improving our existing code. This includes refactoring legacy systems, enhancing test coverage, and implementing updates to ensure our platform remains robust and scalable.
• Leverage AI for Efficiency: Utilize cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate the diagnosis and debugging of complex issues. While AI provides the assist, you are the expert responsible for delivering tested, high-quality fixes.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Fullstack Engineer, comfortable working with both backend (Python/Django preferred) and frontend (Vue.js preferred) technologies.
• A Product-Oriented Mindset: You are driven by a desire to create a great user experience and understand that reliability is a core feature.
• An Expert Problem-Solver: You have a knack for debugging and enjoy the challenge of untangling complex technical issues.
• Meticulous and Responsible: You have high standards for your work and take deep ownership of the quality and real-world impact of your code.
