We are a global Christian humanitarian organization, and for 80 years, we've been dedicated to boldly engaging the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. Our journey began in the aftermath of World War II, driven by a pressing need to address the urgent humanitarian needs in war-torn Europe. Since then, our mission has expanded, and we've had the privilege of working in over 100 countries, partnering with local churches and communities to foster sustainable, locally-driven solutions to some of the most complex challenges facing our world. Our commitment is to the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. We believe that true transformation addresses the root causes of vulnerability and goes beyond immediate physical needs to include mental, social, and spiritual well-being. This holistic approach means we're not just looking for quick fixes but are dedicated to uncovering and addressing systemic issues to create change that truly lasts.

Our work is deeply rooted in the belief that the local church is a powerful catalyst for change. That's why over 95% of our staff are local leaders who know and love their communities and will continue to serve long after our direct involvement. We partner with thousands of churches and tens of thousands of local volunteers to tackle critical issues such as disaster response, extreme poverty, and the challenges faced by refugees, immigrants, and displaced people. We strive to provide emergency assistance, build resilience in disaster-ravaged communities, empower communities to break free from poverty through programs in savings, agriculture, and health, and restore hope for those fleeing persecution and violence. In the United States, we operate numerous offices, welcoming and resettling refugees, providing immigration legal services, and helping new Americans integrate into their communities. We are committed to the prayerful, efficient, and thoughtful stewardship of every resource entrusted to us, ensuring that donations are directed effectively to make the smartest, most impactful interventions possible.
